Refund Policy

1. The Cooling-Off Period (The CPA)

If you purchased any course from the LMS as an individual (a consumer) through direct marketing (e.g., an email or telephone call), Section 16 of the CPA generally grants you a 5-business-day cooling-off period. If applicable, you can cancel your purchase and receive a refund, minus reasonable administrative costs. This obviously does not apply if you have already commenced with the course.

2. Provider-Specific Terms & Conditions

Institutional policies are ultimately determined by the vendor’s End-User License Agreement (EULA) or Refund Policy. Common clauses include:

  • Unaccessed Content: A full refund will be issued if you submit a written request within 7 days of purchase AND if no course modules or LMS features have been accessed or commenced.
  • No Refunds: If you have already accessed the course materials, downloaded content, or logged into the learning portal, you are deemed to have commenced the course and no refund will be issued.

3. Subscriptions and Software

If you purchased an enterprise LMS (e.g., an annual or monthly software subscription), refunds are not issued for “change of mind” or non-use. If the LMS is fundamentally defective and unusable, you are entitled to have it fixed, replaced, or refunded within the first 6 months of purchase as regulated by the CPA.
